Why MEMORYDOLL?

Dolls show up often in myths like Vasalisa, where a young girl is forced out into the woods by her evil stepfamily in order to procure wood for their hearth. Armed only with the doll left to her by her late mother, she allows it to guide her through the woods until she comes across Baba Yaga, who grants her the power she needs to — in many versions, quite brutally — rid herself of the oppressive forces invading her home.

It might surprise fellow enjoyers of the anime Violet Evergarden that memory dolls are a real thing: bespoke, often handmade toys meant to serve as time capsules, guarding your memorabilia and keeping it safe.
